I am a huge fan of Tubby's. When I grew up in West Bloomfield there was a Tubby's nearby that my family and I always frequented. When I moved to Ferndale I found this one nearby and I've been there dozens of times. So much so, that the staff remembers my order. The staff is SUPER pleasant! Always so friendly, chatty and nice. You're always greeted right when you walk in, the service is very fast, and the food is consistently great. Some other Tubby's that I've been to are inconsistent and the food is never that good. At this location you ALWAYS get great service and fresh food.

Every time I drive by this place, I want to stop in and eat here. I end up passing it because I'm on the way to somewhere else, and really don't have the time to stop in and check what this place is all about. I admit, it's in a crappy part of town. It looks scary off the expressway, and I wondered how a place in this type of location stays open. I came in here yesterday and it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Place has plenty of seating, and serves up some pretty mean Tubby's. I don't come here often, of ever because it's A) to far from my home, and B) there's other places near by. I do love a good Tubby's sub here, and I would rather come here then to some of the other locations around town.

Tubby's is a Detroit favorite Their stores vary in quality, but this one in Hazel Park is the best in the area. The crew is friendly and efficient. Most days, the owner is front and center. They offer fresh bread, quick service. Check out the specials and combos on signs outside and inside. There are lots of choices whether you want one cold or hot, with our without meat, different sizes and sides. Forget the national chains nearby. Go to this Tubby's if your anywhere near.

I've been coming to this Tubby's almost my entire life. I think that ownership may have changed hands a couple times over the years, but I've never found the quality of food to suffer. Get the famous. It's pretty much their special italian sub. Good meat. Cheese that pretty much turns into sauce. Tringali's local bread. Tubby's sauce. Nothing extra fancy. just simply good. Oh, make sure to get it grilled! I know there are plenty of different sub chains to choose from.. But do yourself a favor next time you are in the market for a good sub and go to Tubby's. They have a ton of different options for sandwiches. Standard sides and such. Do it up!

I love Tubby's but........... I feel like I was sort of ripped off, I came in the other day and ordered two large famous subs to go for my girlfriend and I, I also added 2 fries, while they were preparing them I asked if they came with yellow banana peppers, they said no, so I asked to add some, the price seemed to go way up after that..... no biggie, I guess, but what irked me was after I paid I saw on the chalk board and on the sign outside that if I ordered 2 large subs with 2 fries and 2 sodas the price was like 3 dollars less. Hey now! that's not cool, how about being nice, any one of the 3 people "including the owner" behind the counter could have given me a friendly heads up. Make's me feel like I paid $3 too much and didn't get my 2 free pops. I hate feeling foolish and probably won't be coming back.
